Tonny toppled in junior prelim

After a clinical first period that saw the Cats kick five goals to none, Tongala inspired some hope of turning the tide in the second, having far more success restricting Mooroopna’s attack and kicking its first goal of the game.

However, Mooroopna came out of the main break with renewed vigour and put the game away with a barrage of majors.

Tongala captain Cruz Kreymborg tried to inspire his side with the Blues’ lone goal of the game.

Mooroopna will take on Seymour in the grand final at Deakin Reserve on Sunday.

The division one decider will be contested by Shepp Notre Bears and Echuca Murray Bombers.

In the under-14s, division one will see Mooroopna take on Echuca Green, while division two will be a battle between Seymour and Alexandra.
