Albo will tell you another lie by saying that it was an independent committee (that the government formed) and has nothing to do with him. (Just like bringing the Isis brides back).
If he had any intestinal fortitude, he would have made a statement and told all politicians that with the current financial crisis in Australia, all politicians’ pay increases would be frozen until further notice (or he could blame the war in the Middle East, as he said that has had a lot to do with this government’s excessive spending).
But it’s not just the PM. All politicians have been given a 10 per cent increase, except Dr Chalmers, he only got four per cent, because he was obviously overpaid to begin with.
Is there not a genuine caring politician in Australia who refuses the increase, as it is an unnecessary increase with the current financial climate and the possibility of another RBA interest increase looming and even the chance of a recession?
And then the PM, who has had no experience in starting or running a business, has between 55 and 65 public servants employed to advise him, on things like the Voice, recognising Palestine, flying three flags etc.
He decreased unemployment by increasing the number of public servants, that the taxpayer has to pay for, but were these increases in areas that are needed: firies, police, teachers, nurses, aged care, childcare, ambos, etc?
Have you seen Albo, Chalmers, Burke and Bowen at question time? The questions are obviously scripted, and these four leaders in our society turn there back on the opposition, don’t answer the question and just bring up the non-government politicians’ failures on the matter concerned.
They play to the theatre of comedy portrayed by the government while not answering the question.
I wish I could say what I really think and feel.
