The girls came out firing from the start and had a great win with some exceptional passages of play.
Our numbers have been great at training, and this reflected well in the gameplay.
Jorja Withers and Lucy Phillips shot beautifully together in the ring, and our mid-court and attackers truly fought hard for turnovers to ensure possession of the ball.
We are all excited to get in the swing of the season to see what we can accomplish as a new team.

B-grade: Berrigan 69 def Yarroweyah 11.
In a super exciting game, our B-grade came away with a well-deserved win.
Even with some new faces in the mix, our defence held strong, the mid-court brought the ball down beautifully, and everything was topped off with some exceptional goals.
The team was awesome, with everyone just clicking and working together nicely.
We were also excited to welcome Temica Fitzgerald and Ebony Loomes back after the birth of their babies.

C-grade: Berrigan 72 def Yarroweyah 3.
After a week off, the Saints were firing to go.
Sam Henderson and Gracie Lagudi were infallible in the ring, relentlessly pushing through goals.
Gen Taylor and Kallee Chesshire put up an impenetrable defence, barely allowing the ball through.
Our mid-courters provided strength and speed.
It was a great outing for the Saints and an enjoyable game with Yarroweyah.

Under-17s: Berrigan 63 def Yarroweyah 18.
What a great day to watch our under-17s on the court.
Rosie Phillips and Maddie Rice debuted, showing off their fine skills.
Layla Towler and Gracie Rice dominated their players in defence.
Miley Driscoll and Annabelle Brooks showed great enthusiasm and skill through the mid-court, and Lucy Pyle and Charlie Magill showed great finesse in the ring.
It was wonderful to watch such great teamwork.

Under-15s: Berrigan 48 def Yarroweyah 18.
It was a great day for the under-15 girls, who came out firing.
Our skills have improved so much since round one, which definitely reflected on the court.
Everyone played amazingly and did everything we asked of them.
Bella Ward came out with some defence and confidence we hadn’t seen in her until now.
Sophia-Ruby Morgan debuted her first under-15s game and absolutely smashed it in the goal ring.
As always, Maddie Rice never gave up and ran up and down that court as centre all game.
With such standouts in the game, it was no wonder they took out the awards this week.
All of our under-15s played well, and we cannot wait until our next game.
Under-13s: Berrigan 40 def Yarroweyah 7.
Amazing game.
The girls put everything into play that we have been working very hard on at training, and we couldn’t have asked for more.
Fantastic work under-13s.

This weekend showed a big improvement from our first game.
The smallest Saints were more confident and aggressive in their contests and passed the ball well down the court.
Ella Swann scored our first goal for the season, and to say we were excited was an understatement.
It was a great game with fun had by all.
