The markets provided a family day for the Deni community with plenty of food, drink, gifts and activity options for the family to see and do.
The market presented stallholders with the opportunity to offer products fitting the “make, bake and grow” theme, and market goers had the chance to sample some of the unique products while taking in some of the events on the day.
Deniliquin Show society president Chantelle Shevels said the conditions on the day and the variety of stalls led to a great day at the markets.
“It was a very successful day from my perspective.
“Big crowds came through the gates along with the beautiful weather, which was really good.”
“There was plenty of food and drink to keep people happy throughout the day too.”
Mrs Shevels said the number of stalls was up from last year’s event.
More than 30 stalls offered creations and gifts suitable for Mother’s Day and year-round, with most reporting a good day of trading.
The markets were similar to last year’s event, with a few new initiatives to make the day even more family-friendly.
“We had more stalls than last year, and all the stalls reported a fairly successful day.
“The Car Club showed their cars, which was great.
“We also had jumping castles, an animal nursery, and the dog show, all of which worked well.
“It was a family-orientated day for the entire family.
“It also got to give mums and dads a nice break.”
