The event was revived by the Tocumwal Community Development Committee (TCDC).
Members of the Tocumwal Pony Club were on site at the amphitheatre at 5.30am, cooking a barbecue for the early birds who were gearing up to get on the river with the competition starting at 6am.
Being a long weekend, the river was busy which was a challenge for the eager anglers who were keen to catch a winner in one of the many prize winning categories.
Presentation of prizes was held at the event’s major sponsor, Tattersalls Hotel, with live music from Jade Camden.
The event committee thanked their event sponsors for providing more than $5000 in cash and amazing prizes that was won across several adult and junior categories.
Winners of the Duck Race were also announced, with the first lucky duck scoring $1000, $250 for second and and $100 for third.
The committee was unable to provide a list of all winners before this edition went to print.
Congratulations to the TCDC on such a great event.
