I would like to echo the questions asked by Linda Brennan in The Pastoral Times on January 16.
The Town Hall is totally unsuitable for our ‘cheerful, happy, relaxed’ Australia Day celebrations.
The morning with all the voice of people chatting, children playing and laughing under our (hopefully) sapphire blue sky has such a feel of Australian character and wellbeing.
Let’s keep the atmosphere the Waring Gardens spreads around to us locals who have for so long loved and enjoyed Australia Day in our Waring Gardens.
