As an event literally built on the back of the ute, and drawing in motorists all over the country each year, it’s only natural the Deni Ute Muster team would get behind National Road Safety Week.

Sadly 1,200 people die on Australian roads every year.
To bring awareness to this startling statistic, the Muster team have lit up the iconic Muster gates and the windmill at HQ in yellow.
This is to remember these lives lost and the impact on their surviving loved ones.
“We can all help reduce this tragic number if we choose to ‘Drive So Others Survive’,” the team said.
Nutrien fires up the BBQ
Staff at Nutrien Ag Solutions Deniliquin will be on the tools this Friday morning for its the now annual Do It For Dolly Day breakfast.
Members of the community are encouraged to stop by anytime between 6am and 9am for an egg and bacon roll.
All proceeds from the sale of the brekkie will be donated to the Dolly’s Dream foundation.
Dolly’s Dream is committed to changing the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families.
Last year the community helped Nutrien Ag Solutions raise almost $4000.
Let’s see if we can make it more this year.

The get ready for morning tea
Another fundraiser coming up is the Biggest Morning Tea, raising money for the Cancer Council.
The traditional celebrations will be held outside My Shop in Napier St on May 23.
Denise Phillips and her usual team of helpers will have goodies to purchase.
You can take away, or stick around and have a cuppa with the community if you wish.
Donations of cakes, slices and other treats would be welcome.
Drop into the shop and ask Denise how you can help.
A pearler of a morning
As winter draws ever closer, we’re being treated to some beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
Prue Lea snapped a colour-filled sky on one of her morning walks along the Beach to Beach last week, and just had to share it with the PT and its readers.
Got a snap you’d like to share of a local landscape or from a local event?
Send it to zoe.mcmaugh@denipt.com.au with some information on who or what is in the photo, along with your full name and contact details.
