There’s some kind of toil and trouble boiling away in the cauldron of the Berrigan Soldiers Memorial Hall.

It’s a little freaky, a little bit dark — and promises to be plenty of fun.
For the past several months, the Berrigan Amateur Dramatic Society has been hard at work rehearsing for its upcoming production of The Addams Family.
Although tickets for the hit Broadway musical have only been on sale since the end of June, they’ve quickly become a prized commodity as bump-in approaches.
In fact, two performances - the second Saturday night and the matinée - are sold out.
“I’m really happy with it. We’re a small club, we’re nothing huge. The fact that we’ve sold out is great to see, when the tickets have only been on sale for a couple of weeks,” society president Riley Nolen said.

Directed by Helen Dickie with the help of assistant director Tamara Graham, the tale of the infamous Addams family and its affinity for the macabre is one that you’re not going to want to miss.
“It’s a classic. Everyone knows it,” Mr Nolen said.
“So it’s really exciting to be able to put it on.”
With a cast of talented local singers, actors and dancers, the two-part musical will be performed across just four evenings: Friday and Saturday, August 1 and 2, and Friday and Saturday, August 8 and 9.
There will also be a matinée show on Sunday, August 3.
Tickets start at $20 for 16s-and-under, and $45 for everyone else, for every performance except for the matinée, for which tickets are $35.
