The RSL-Sub branch’s Laurie Blackmore conducted a special service for the two primary schools at 11am on Friday at the Cenotaph.
The service for the town and district was then held on Remembrance Day itself, on Saturday.
Both ceremonies gave local people the opportunity to pause, and consider why we remember those who have died or suffered in wars, both past and on-going.

Has anybody lost a walking stick? A black stick was discovered on the back seat of the Ryan family vehicle a couple of weeks ago, and has remained a mystery, as it doesn’t belong to anyone in the family.
A suggestion was made that perhaps someone mistook one white car for another, parked in the main street or thereabouts, and placed their walking aid on the wrong car.
If you are the owner of said walking aid, you might contact Judy on 0439 743 731, and arrangements can be made to return said article.
