A van was destroyed in an early morning fire in a Shepparton street.

Fire Rescue Victoria firefighters were called to the fire on Channel Rd — east of Archer St — shortly after 12.30am on Tuesday, September 16.
The Toyota HiAce van was on the side of the road when the fire started, with multiple people calling 000 to report the fire.
Firefighters had the fire under control within minutes.

Police believe the fire is suspicious.
Police said it was not known if the van had been stolen because it was so badly damaged.
