Corowa Civic Bowls Club
Corowa Civic Sunday winners - Steve Rodway and Brian McCarthy.
Corowa Civic Bowls Club spent a few days on our trip away last week to Griffith.
All members had a great time, with a game of bowls and lunch on our way there at Darlington Point.
After arriving at Griffith, we had a look around the town and met up with the Murray family for dinner.
The next day we had a trip out to Whitton, where we had lunch and more sightseeing around the district.
On the last morning, we had a game of bowls with about 40 members of the Griffith Bowls Club.
Their members were very hospitable, supplying lunch for our members before returning home.
Thank you to Ian Bilney for organising this great trip.
We offer Peter King and family all our sympathies on the passing of Annette.
Annette was a very good bowler and won many club events and tournaments at Civic.
Corowa Civic Bowls Club wish Brian McCarthy good bowling in the coming weeks.
Brian has been chosen by Victoria Bowls to play in the Australian Bowlers Association against other Australian states at Tweed Heads commencing May 12.
The Presentation Night will take place on Friday 15th May 2026.
All members and friends who wish to attend please add your name to the list on the noticeboard; names to be down by May 12.

The Ladies Fours Two Day Tournament will take place on May 6 and 7.

Due to most of our players being away in Griffith there weren’t any social bowls on Wednesday.
As Anzac Day fell on Saturday this year, social bowls were postponed to Sunday.
There were 14 players taking part, with visitors Kevin and Lynne Bowler and Paul and Tess Merritt playing.
Winners were Steve Rodway and Brian McCarthy.
Runners up were Kevin Bowler and Ann Sadowski.
