A great team effort by our C-graders on Saturday.
The girls really had to draw on their solidarity as a group to endure Saturday’s game.
Well done to Addi Hussey on a solid and patient game in goals, Georgie McCalman for her agility through the mid-court and Maggie McCalman for her strong game in defence.
Awards: Addi Hussey, Georgie McCalman, Maggie McCalman.
C-Reserve: Deni Rams 29 def by Nathalia 58.
C-Reserve took on second-placed Nathalia this week, going down 29 to 58 after a competitive first half where the girls matched it with one of the competition's strongest sides.
Nathalia gradually pulled away, but C-Reserve continued to fight hard and produced some excellent passages of play.
Keely Hussey and Remy Henderson were outstanding in defence, working seamlessly together to apply relentless pressure to Nathalia's experienced shooters.
Their communication, timely intercepts, and ability to back each other up made scoring anything but easy.
The game also provided a great opportunity to trial some new combinations, with Lucy Dudley and Rose Nevinson each spending time in GA.
Both adapted well, using their strong movement, timing, and feeding skills to transition the ball smoothly into the shooting circle.
Awards: Keely Hussey, Rose Nevinson, Remy Henderson.
Under-17s: Deni Rams 63 def Nathalia 33.
The girls displayed an impressive game of netball for four quarters against Nathalia on Saturday, walking away with a convincing 30 goal win.
In what was a solid team effort, all girls played a pivotal role in the defeat.
Special mention to Georgia Henderson, who again proved her versatility, stepping up and performing convincingly in the goal circle and mid-court.
Phoebe Newman was in season-best form in goals as well and was well-supported by the mid-courters, Bella Hillier and Sienna Elphick.
Arabella Bliss was explosive through the mid-court and turned over multiple balls in defence.
Brydey Maher and Ava Marshall rounded off the team with their usual consistency in defence.
A big thank you to Arielle Hillier and Liv Jeffrey who stepped up from the under-15s to help out in goals, both players more than held the own and performed beautifully.
Well done on a convincing win, girls.
Awards: Phoebe Newman, Arabella Bliss, Brydey Maher.
Under-15s: Deni Rams 27 def by Nathalia 34.
The under-15s went down in a hard-fought contest against Nathalia.
The girls worked tirelessly all game, and heading into the final quarter, there was just one goal separating the two sides.
A few costly turnovers and some missed opportunities allowed Nathalia to pull away late, but the scoreboard didn’t reflect the determination and effort our girls showed throughout the match.
Our mid-court was outstanding all game.
Killarni MacDonald was as reliable as ever, delivering beautiful feeds into our shooters and keeping the attack flowing.
Zara O’Donnell maintained an exceptional work rate from the first whistle to the last, creating countless opportunities for our goalers with her relentless drive.
Stella Chadderton also impressed in WD, taking her game to another level with valuable turnovers and strong transition play through the mid-court.
Awards: Killarni Macdonald, Zara O’Donnell, Stella Chadderton.
Under-13s: Deni Rams 45 def Nathalia 15.

Stevie Williams and Stella Butcher combined brilliantly in goals, with Stella providing accurate feeds and Stevie finishing confidently under the post.
Harriet Maher, Julia Smith and Bailee Dunn were outstanding in defence, applying relentless pressure and creating countless turnovers.
Through the mid-court, Aysha Bartlett, Lexi Maher, Chloe Marshall and Isla Moodie worked tirelessly, linking defence to attack with strong drives and smart ball movement.
Congratulations to the entire team on another excellent performance.
Well done, everyone, for your teamwork and determination.
Awards: Harriet Maher, Stevie Williams, Julia Smith.
