Barooga got off to a strong start, kicking four unanswered goals in the opening quarter with the aid of the wind.
The Rovers backline was under immense pressure, with Mannix Taylor, Henry Campion and Angus Knuckey working tirelessly against a dangerous Barooga forward line.
Ged O'Donnell, Sam Strong and Cormick Hardman lifted in the second term, helping the Rovers respond with four goals of their own to close the margin to just 10 points at half time.
In the second half, Barooga’s size and skill began to take control, and they were able to pull away to record a 53-point win.
The Rovers will take valuable lessons from the contest as they prepare for a challenging stretch of games ahead.

The fifths played out an entertaining match against Barooga, with plenty of young talent on display.
Zion Tamati was influential through the midfield, winning plenty of the ball and using it well with quick, clean disposals.
Lenny Parker impressed with his tackling pressure, proving difficult to break, while Jack Priest worked hard across the ground and delivered the ball effectively to his teammates.
