Through the mid-court, Rovers showed excellent drive onto the ball and patience in attack, creating strong passages of play and feeding accurately into the circle.
The shooters capitalised with confident movement and high-percentage finishing under the post, helping Rovers steadily extend their lead each quarter.
Picola continued to compete strongly and produced patches of determined defensive pressure, but Rovers’ composure with ball in hand and consistent conversion rate ensured they remained in control throughout the match.
It was a complete team performance from Rovers, with disciplined defence, seamless ball movement and clinical finishing securing an impressive victory.

The girls demonstrated patience with ball movement, strong defensive intent and confidence in executing the structures worked on at training.
Despite Picola bringing strong physicality and intensity, the team remained calm and composed.
Players absorbed the pressure well, worked hard for one another defensively and continued to back themselves in crucial moments.
Most pleasing was the trust shown across the court.
Connections through the mid-court were strong, feeders trusted their shooters, and defenders consistently supported one another to create turnover opportunities.
The team’s communication and willingness to work together allowed them to maintain momentum and respond positively whenever challenged.
A special mention goes to Nina Glowrey, who made her senior debut and made an immediate impact in the defensive end while holding her own throughout the contest.

The girls led by just three goals at quarter time before lifting the intensity significantly from there.
Increased pressure across the court created plenty of turnovers, and once the shooters found their rhythm, the team produced a dominant second quarter that set up the victory.
Matilda Glowrey worked tirelessly through the mid-court, doing a fantastic job running out centre in the warm conditions.
Down the defensive end, Shané Bothma was outstanding, collecting multiple intercepts and applying constant pressure to the Picola attack.

C-reserve fought out a tough contest from the opening whistle, with both sides battling hard right until the final seconds.
It was not the team’s cleanest performance, with some uncharacteristic errors and patches where the girls struggled to find their usual flow.
Despite this, they continued to support one another, maintain positive energy and refuse to give up throughout the entire match.
The defensive unit worked tirelessly all game, applying strong pressure across the court and fighting for every loose ball and intercept opportunity.
Their efforts kept Rovers in the contest when momentum could easily have shifted the other way.
Goals did not drop as consistently as the side would have liked, making for a tense finish, but the girls stayed positive, backed each other and ground out a nail-biting one-goal win.
While it may not have been the team’s best performance, grinding out a result on and off day showed the character, determination and teamwork within the group.

The under-17s delivered a huge performance against Picola, recording an impressive victory.
The girls were focused from the opening whistle, and did a fantastic job implementing the things worked on at training while maintaining their intensity.
Ruby Cowley and Bae Willis were composed and accurate in the shooting circle, converting consistently throughout the game.
Amelie Bulmer and Issy Macknight controlled the mid-court with great drive and connection, while Zoe Basset, Amy Holloway, Eve Meharry and Ruby Pisasale created a brick wall in defence through relentless pressure and strong turnovers.
It was also fantastic to see players stepping into unfamiliar positions, with Ruby Pisasale and Eve Meharry taking runs through centre and Amy Holloway working hard at wing attack.

Under-15s: Deni Rovers 46 def Picola 14.
The side took to the court against Picola with a fierce defensive mindset, and the intensity was evident from the opening whistle.
After focusing at training on strong hands-over pressure, constant communication and owning space on court, the girls produced some outstanding defensive passages across all four quarters.
Their pressure created plenty of turnovers and scoring opportunities, with just a little more composure needed at times to fully capitalise on their hard work.
Offensively, the team’s balance and connection continue to improve each week, with growing confidence becoming a key part of their development.
Most pleasing has been the girls’ willingness to play their role for the team, and the way their understanding of court play continues to evolve.
The foundations are building nicely, and there is no doubt there is plenty of exciting netball ahead for this talented group.

The Rovers continued their strong season with another impressive win.
The girls quickly took control of the game, using their training focus of sideline dictation to limit space and force the opposition into difficult positions.
This consistent pressure created numerous turnovers and forced errors, allowing Rovers to establish a strong lead in the opening quarter.
That intensity and dominance continued throughout the match, with all players executing their roles with precision and confidence.
As the game progressed, the girls were again able to experiment with different player and position combinations.
Khoa Unwin and Pallas East combined well in the shooting circle, while Harper Bulmer and Maddison Danckert were outstanding in circle defence with their timing and positioning.
The team’s communication and smooth transition of the ball through the court continues to be a highlight as the girls build their tactical understanding of the game each week.

The under-11s showed excellent sportsmanship and determination from the opening whistle, working hard for one another and maintaining a positive attitude throughout the game.
Their control with ball in hand was excellent, with sharp and accurate passing helping the girls transition strongly down the court.
One of the biggest highlights was their front cuts, which created strong attacking opportunities and showcased terrific teamwork.
Defensively, the girls applied excellent pressure to the opposition, leading to several important intercepts.
It was fantastic to see them turn those turnovers into goals and reward their hard work on the scoreboard.
The effort, teamwork and determination displayed throughout the game was something the entire group should be proud of.
