The club is looking forward to building on the success of last year, when two of our teams returned home with championship shields after outstanding performances.
Adding to the excitement, on Friday, May 29, Yarrawonga/Mulwala took on Shepparton in their annual inter-association challenge in the lead-up to the Country Championships. Shepparton entered the contest looking to secure a fourth consecutive victory after winning the past three years. However, Yarrawonga/Mulwala turned the tables with an impressive 4–2 win, reclaiming the prestigious Bruce Wright/Ray Luscombe Shield and taking it home once again.
This year's championships will be particularly special for our Club President, John Wright, who will be celebrating his 30th year competing at the Country Championships—a remarkable milestone and a testament to his dedication to the sport and our club.
Leading the charge for Yarrawonga/Mulwala is our top team competing in B3 Division, featuring John Wright, Andrew Tegelaers, and Evan Kibble.
Our second strongest team will compete in C1 Division, represented by Rod Armstrong, Jeff Russell, and Paul Storey.
