Pennant 2024/2025
The sheets are up for names of members wanting to play Midweek and Weekend Pennant for the 2024/2025 season. This may seem early but it is only six months away which will come around fast enough. The selectors need to know who will be available and how many teams we can fill so the Ovens and Murray pennant committee can sort out teams divisions etc. A lot of work needs to be done well before pennant actually starts! Emergencies are always needed as well so if you can only be available at times please put your name down as an emergency.
For your diary
The AGM is being held on Sunday, May 19 at 10am. Nominations for the various committees need to be in by no later than 6pm on May 7. Notice of any motions must be given by members in writing no later than May 7. Please take on a position to give others a break. If not please help out with some of the many jobs needing to be done to keep our bowling club run smoothly. We are a standalone bowling club so it does take a lot of work to keep the club up and running. As the old saying goes “many hands make light work”. Thank you to all of those that helped out through the 2023/24 season.

Our wonderful sponsors Yarrawonga/Mulwala RSL Sub-Branch and ClubMulwala once again contributed to the success of the day assisting in generous contributions towards the $2100 prizemoney. Once again Don Lockhart provided his umpiring expertise for the day and we thank him for that. We cannot run these events without our great members assisting in various capacities – set up and tear down, scoring, bar management, etc. The work done by our match committee is commendable and we thank them for all they do including adding to these reports. Lastly we thank our greenskeeper Gary Parker for the work he puts in to the preparation of the greens for these occasions.
Since becoming qualified Don Lockhart has always made himself available for umpiring duties and deserves our appreciation. Thank you Don.
That is all for now. Enjoy your bowls and stay safe in our community.
