Blues bested by leader Kats

The opening term saw Picola defend doggedly, forcing the Kats into wasteful attempts despite their strong pressure.

The Blues trailed by 19 at the first break, kicking 2.1 to the leader’s 4.8.

Another quarter of Katandra forward pressure continued to balloon the lead and Picola found itself down by 41 points at the half.

The Kats really turned it on after the break, kicking eight goals without reply in the third quarter to seal the win, eventually prevailing 21.22 (148) to 4.2 (26).

Picola (4-1-9) has a tough match-up away to fifth-ranked Strathmerton coming up, before hopefully finishing the year on a high note, taking on a side it defeated earlier this year, Katunga.
