Wanderers goalkeeper Matt Crothers said the fixture would be a valuable test ahead of finals.
“It should be an interesting match,” he said.
“We’re locked in at fourth, and Moama are locked in at first, so it will be a good test for who we’ll face in finals.
“Last time we played was in Moama, and we were actually even the majority of the game.”
In that last clash between the sides, after a nil‑all first half, the Wanderers lifted in attack and matched the top‑of‑the‑table Raiders goal-for-goal until the closing stages, where the Raiders pulled away for a 5-2 win.
A reshuffled backline could prove a master stroke for the Wanderers in limiting Moama’s attacking threats this weekend.
Crothers may have to referee the match, leaving the goalkeeping role to a game‑day decision.
Back‑to‑back home games across the next two weekends have the squad energised.
“Some of the byes, and now the home games, probably favour us older guys,” Crothers joked.
“It’s good to be home, and we’re hopeful of a good result.”
