President Greg Ley said the organisation believed strong local business and strong community go hand in hand.
“Our role is to connect people, promote what is happening across our towns, represent regional priorities, and create practical opportunities for local businesses, employers, community groups and residents to work together,” Mr Ley said.
“The Chamber is not simply about membership; it is about being part of the region we want to build; a place where businesses are visible and supported.
“We want this region to be somewhere people can find opportunities, visitors want to stay longer, and community organisations and employers can work alongside one another.”
The CRW Regional Business Chamber would love to see as many local businesses coming on board and become part of a clear and constructive voice on the issues that affect business confidence, liveability, visitation, workforce and regional development.
“We welcome your ideas, your involvement and your voice,” Mr Ley said.
“Whether you are an existing member, a local business considering joining, or a community member who cares about the future of our region, we encourage you to be part of the conversation.
“Together we can make a real difference.”
Commitments over the coming year include business nights that bring local people together for real conversation, ideas and relationships, a stronger Women in Business network and job expos and employment-focused events.
An important part of this work is ongoing advocacy with Federation and Indigo councils, state and federal representatives, and other regional leaders.
Local business and opportunities are promoted through regular Town Crier updates featuring local events, member news and opportunities, and continued development of the CRW Regional Chamber website and business directory, making it easier for customers, visitors and suppliers to find local businesses.
