It is a special home round for the Redeyes, with this round supporting Deniliquin Can Assist.
Proceeds from the gate raffle and from donation tins around the ground will be provided to the local cancer charity.
The club’s annual ball also takes place tomorrow from 6.30pm.
If that wasn’t enough, on Tuesday Blighty will have a special visit from former AFL player Anthony Koutoufides.
He will attend junior and senior training, and then give a presentation at the club afterwards.
Koutoufides played 278 games for Carlton, and has taken up various ventures since his playing career.
Blighty will be keen to play well ahead of these events, and following last week’s results.
Last round they were home against Tungamah, who were strong across all grades.
In the senior football, Redeyes coach Dane Leyden said the team were competitive in a 42 point loss.
“We had a fair amount of the play early against Tungamah, but inaccurate kicking mounted scoreboard pressure against us.
“Although we felt like we matched them for most of the day, credit to them. They were more efficient going forward.”
Meanwhile, Tocumwal are coming off an 109 point win in the inaugural Harry McComick Cup Clash against Mathoura.
Blighty’s playing line-up will continue to fluctuate, Leyden said, but he expects the team to want to win ahead of the club ball tomorrow.
“We have a couple of ins and of course outs, as we do most weeks.
“The ball is always a great opportunity for us all to socialise, and I think a lot of our guys and their partners are looking forward to the weekend.
“We’d also love to see good numbers on a Tuesday night and make the most of Koutas’ teachings.
“It will be a great learning experience to hear him speak on football.”
